The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka appeared with Shahid Kapoor, Vir Das, and Meiyang Chang in the 2010 film "Badmash Company". It received mixed reviews. Anushka appeared alongside Ranveer in the film 'Band Baaja Baaraat' in which she portrayed a Punjabi middle class woman who set up her own company. It received favorable reviews and proved to be a surprise hit. Anushka's three-film deal with Yash Raj Films ended with the release of Band Baaja Baaraat.
